You need to keep an eye on these as they are very quick and like to hide themselves away from your line of sight. If you see one, make sure you keep a safe distance from them as always as their tentacle reach is not that far compared to others. They are one of the smallest Necromorphs in the game, therefore they can be hard to spot. These Necromorph will release multiple so keep that in mind when you are trying to take one down. To take down a Lurker you need to focus on eliminating its tentacles. It is fair to assume that most Necromorph should not get their head taken off as it will result in the creatures to attack unpredictably. You should specifically arm for both the aim and the leg to render it useless against you. All weapons are a viable option to use again these Necromorph, so use whatever you are most comfortable aiming with. You should use Kinesis here to halt its movements in the air in which you can get off the killing blow to the creature. What you need to do is line up your shot and aim for the specific moment in which the Leaper is mid air. For that reason, it is quite difficult to keep your distance from them. The Leaper jumps at you from afar, closing the gap between yourself and the Necromorph. Unless you have great aim, the Divider should be taken on whole with a Flamethrower, Contact Beam, or using the Plasma Cutter after halting its movements with Stasis. Realistically, you do not want to shoot it with standard weaponry as the Necromorph will divide. This will stop it from separating and destroy it quickly. The best strategy in beating a Divider is to use the Flamethrower. With very fast movement that can be overwhelming as multiple body parts crawl at you. Coming at you in its full form should you shoot it, its limbs and head will fall off and attack you. As the Divider will make itself known soon. We recommend keeping a far distance from these and practicing your aim work with these ones. Its sole purpose in this form is to strangle you. It first makes its appearance as a decapitated head with face-hugger like qualities. The Divider is one of the more annoying Necromorphs in the game. They are super quick too, so it is best to keep that Pregnant Necromorph at bay by shooting out its legs. You may be tricked to shoot the sack thinking it will explode or do critical damage against it, but do not be fooled. These move far slower than that of other Necromorph, for that reason you do not need to panic. Instead, opt to shoot the Pregnant Necromorph’s legs, rendering the creature useless. If you shoot the sack you will release other Necromorph, therefore you should avoid this at all costs. Pregnant Necromorph are Slashers with a stomach sack filled with smaller Necromorph. We recommend keeping an eye out for it whenever you enter an area with bodies that have not been tainted with the infection. As it is a flying creature, you would do better to shoot this one down instead of attempting to get in close or use Stasis on it. The Infector is very easy to shoot down and should be focussed on before it attempts to infect any bodies nearby. This Necromorph makes its first appearance with an iconic and terrifying scene, truly showing off the capabilities of Motive Studio. Their goal is to infect the bodies, transforming them into Necromorphs. The Infector is a winged Necromorph which appears in rooms filled with bodies that have not been infected. Instead, go up to them and stomp on them instead of using any weapon of Stasis. There is absolutely no need in using your weapon against them as they do not move. Keep in mind as they are not particularly hostile that you want to conserve as much ammo as possible. If they are in a room with other Necromorph types, you should focus on stomping on the Wheezer first to eliminate the gas threat. You need to take these out as quickly as you can. They do not attack you aside from filling the room with gas that if you take too long to kill the Wheezer, you will suffocate. They appear hunched over with a gigantic belly filled with toxic gas. The Wheezer are the most harmless Necromorph in Dead Space. Necromorph Ranking by Difficulty in Dead Space Remake 14.
